Two cakes fall in love with each other at a bake sale.
The concept came about when a friend and I saw a sale of half cakes at Ralph's. Jokingly, I put two together and said it was a metaphor for love. However, we kept adding to the ridculessness of it and we created Beauty and the Cake.
It took us two weeks to produce this short. One week spent in preproduction where we storyboarded and created an animantic.
One day in production and the first rough cut the very same day. Animation began side-by-side the 4 day editing process. Both Compositing and Sound Design took only 1 day and the short was released in time for Valentine's Day.
